Main View Gallery's Newest Exhibit to Open December 11, 2009
Main View Gallery & Studio’s winter exhibit, Small Wonders, opens with a reception on December 11 from 5-7 pm. Small Wonders features an eclectic array of affordable original work including metal jewelry, ceramic pieces, silk screenings, ornaments, fabric sculptures and small paintings plus other gift items such as greeting and holiday cards and the Main View Gallery & Studio 2010 calendar. Marni Jamieson is the featured artist. Her series of paintings, The Other Side of God, offers a non-traditional view of God that is humorous, detailed and thought provoking. Main View Gallery to host Ornament Making Workshop
November 2009
Main View Gallery & Studio will host two ornament making workshops on November 12th and 19th from 4-5 pm. The workshops are sponsored and led by Betsy Cunningham of Artware and are part of Oneonta's Main Street Organization's (MSO) holiday events schedule. The workshops are designed to appeal to school age children. Finished ornaments will be on display in Muller Plaza in downtown Oneonta as part of the tree lighting ceremony which takes place on December 3rd.
Self Stories to Open
September 2009
self stories explores the concept of personal image through self portraits and a series of large paintings that chronicle each artist's journey through life. These visual stories reveal the innermost thoughts and experiences of Main View Studio artists while celebrating their lives and artistic accomplishments. The exhibit opens with a public reception on Friday, September 11 from 5-7 pm and runs until December 1, 2009. Read more about selfstories

Spaces to Open
June 2009

spaces is an eclectic art exhibition of works that explore the ideas of inside and outside through landscapes, fabric mobiles, colorfully ornamented wood-burned bird and doll houses and Main View Gallery and Studio's first ever animated short film featuring the studio's music group, The Zebras. The exhibit runs until September 1, 2009.
